General is very regrettable. as Venezuela still has neglected its tourism, which this can work together for its economy. It cannot be understood as Governments has had, including the current, neglects everything regarding namely exploit its natural beauties from its beaches, landscapes, waterfall water, mountains, Prairies, an infinity of aspects that could be very well utilized of wanting it. A troubling case is well-known Margarita Island, because it has beaches with conditions for surfing, diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing and other water sports, as well as historic colonial towns. In recent years is planned the realization of several projects to boost tourism, as the port of cruises, Puerto Mar, among others. On the island are several old Spanish fortifications (castles, forts and fortresses), which are considered national heritage. The Pearl of the Caribbean as it is known to Margarita, has surprised US on our last visit the neglected that is, dirty beaches, the little tourist culture having thereon, disorder, little cleaning the city, absence of effective tourist information offices, its insecurity, among other aspects. When one stroll along its Boardwalk gives disgust see dirt, garbage from in his career, on the same Beach, low lighting and fear of his insecurity by absence of policemen.
Faced with this reality one wonders why the authorities don’t care about know exploit the beautiful island? Why not start the transformations necessary to show nice? what is the cause of this abandonment? How does the margariteno accept this reality of his island?
